What is the SEOdiag Rank Tracker?

The Rank Tracking module (currently in Beta) is an advanced tool that allows you to monitor the organic positions of your keywords (SERPs) in real time, obtaining accurate metrics based on geographic location, device, and search engine.

Unlike traditional crawlers, SEOdiag leverages DataForSEO's advanced technology to deliver live positions without cache noise, making it ideal for tracking B2B strategies on a hyperlocal or global level.

Prerequisites

  • Active Plan: The Rank Tracking feature is exclusive to Growth, Agency, and Enterprise plans. (Testing and Freelance plans do not have access to the ranking engine).
  • Configured Domain: You must have a domain/client configured in your dashboard.

How to Set Up Your First Keywords

  • Go to the Rank Tracker section in the left menu of your Dashboard.
  • Select the target domain from the top dropdown menu.
  • Fill in the following parameters to add a keyword: Keyword: The word or phrase you want to monitor (e.g. "b2b saas seo"). - Country: The target market (e.g. "US", "UK", "AU"). - Language: The ISO language code (e.g. "en", "es"). - Search Engine: Search engine to track (e.g. "google", "bing"). - Device: Select whether you want to measure "desktop" or "mobile" results.

  • Click Add Keyword.

Note on Limits: Each plan has a maximum limit of keywords that can be monitored simultaneously. Growth Plan (up to 50 keywords), Agency Plan (up to 500 keywords), and Enterprise (Custom Limits).

Update Frequency

SEOdiag will automatically update your keyword rankings without you having to intervene. The frequency of these "checks" depends on your subscription:

  • Growth and Agency: Tracking is performed on a weekly basis.
  • Enterprise and Custom: Tracking can be scaled to daily checks according to your configuration. Every time SEOdiag verifies a keyword (even in the background overnight), 1 credit will be deducted from your Workspace for each query. Make sure you have balance in your wallet to avoid pausing historical tracking.

Interpreting the Results Table

Once loaded, you will see a table with the current status of your keywords:

  • Position: The exact ranking. If you see ">100", it means your URL does not appear in the first 10 pages of results.
  • Features: Additional elements in the SERPs (e.g., featured snippets, maps, images).
  • Checked: Date and time of the last live validation of that position.
